The story
Jemstone was founded by Jemhan Biricik, a Clarks Summit local who grew up watching small businesses come and go across the Abingtons and Scranton. The good ones — the ones that lasted — all had something in common: they cared about their work, they showed up, and they treated every customer like a neighbor.
That's the standard we built Jemstone around. We're not a national chain, not a franchise, not a venture-backed app. We're a local cleaning company, run by people who live here, accountable to the community we work in.

Letting someone into your home or office is an act of trust. We don't take that lightly. Every Jemstone cleaner is fully insured, bonded, and background-checked before they ever step into your space — and the same person comes back each visit so they actually learn your home, not just your address.
Honest quotes, no surprises
We give flat-rate quotes in 60 seconds via the website — no high-pressure sales calls, no "starting at" prices that triple by the time we walk in. The price you agree to is the price you pay. If a clean takes longer than expected, that's our problem, not yours.
If we missed something, we come back

- Office & Commercial Cleaning — after-hours janitorial for offices, medical practices, salons, and storefronts across NEPA.
- Post-Construction Cleaning — drywall dust, paint splatter, sticker residue removal so your renovation is actually finished.

How we hire
We hire slowly and we hire local. Every Jemstone cleaner goes through:
- National + Pennsylvania state criminal background check
- Reference check (minimum two professional references)
- In-home training with a senior cleaner before any solo visits
- 30-day probationary period with shadowed visits
If a cleaner isn't a fit for our standard, they don't make it past the probationary period. The result: clients see the same trusted person every visit, and we sleep at night knowing who we put in someone else's home.

- General liability insurance ($1M+)
- Bonding (theft protection)
- Workers' compensation insurance for all employees
